S.O.M.S. Settimo T.se
A series of pop art illustrations commissioned to mark the centenary of Giacomo Matteotti's death. The project brought to life the defining moments of the Italian politician's life through a bold graphic language rooted in pop art — translating historical memory into a visual narrative designed to engage contemporary audiences across both print and digital formats.
Concept
Creative Process
The project was commissioned by SOMS di Settimo Torinese, in collaboration with ANPI and CGIL Settimo T.se. The goal was to reframe a historical figure for younger audiences — making Matteotti's story feel immediate and visually compelling rather than distant or academic. Pop art's graphic boldness and cultural immediacy made it the natural language for the task: high-contrast, iconic, and designed to stop a scroll as easily as it commands a banner on a street corner.
